Important Dates (2024-2025)

Classes start Tuesday, September 3rd. 

The studio is closed on the following days:

• MEA Break​ (Wednesday Oct. 16th and Thursday Oct. 17th)
• Halloween (Thursday Oct. 31st)
• Thanksgiving Break (Monday Nov. 25th through Friday Nov. 29th)
• Christmas Holiday Break (Monday Dec. 23rd through Friday Jan. 3rd)
• ​Martin Luther King Day (Monday Jan. 20th)
• Presidents Day (Monday Feb. 17th)
• Spring Break (Sunday Mar. 9th through Thursday Mar. 13th)
• Easter (Sunday Apr. 20th)

Pictures will be taken Monday April 7th - Sunday April 13th during your dancers normal class time.

Recital is held at Waconia High School Auditorium in May. Rehearsal for all dancers will be in the morning on Saturday May 17th at 10:00am and recitals will be Saturday, May 17th 5:30pm and Sunday, May 18th 12:00pm. All dancers will perform in both shows.

The Waconia Dance Company offers dance classes for students ages 3 - 18 years old. We offer Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Kick, Musical Theater, and Pom.

Due by the 1st of every month. You can view your transactions online in the Parent Portal.

If the same child takes more than two classes, the third and fourth classes are half price tuition.

Costumes must be paid in full in November. Exact costume totals will be given out in October. For budgeting purposes plan for an average of $70 per costume.

• 45-minute classes have 1 costume. This includes Hip Hop, Pom, Kick and Preschool classes, with the exception of K-1 Ballet and Tap, they will have 2 costumes.
• 1 hour classes have 2-3 costumes. This includes 2nd-4th, 4th-6th, 7th-8th, and 9th-12th grade classes.

Dancers are expected to wear tight fitting clothing. Tights, leotards, leggings, tank tops are preferred. Hair must ALWAYS be pulled back. 

Dance shoes can be purchased at WDC or through Step and Stretch in Minnetonka.

WDC uses the following shoe styles and colors:

• Tan Jazz Booties 
• Tan Tap Shoes
• Pink Ballet Shoes
• ​Black Hip Hop Sneakers

We need written notice by the 15th of the month or you will be charged for the following month.

There are no refunds for missed classes. You may attend a similar class if you would like to make-up a missed class time. 

We have two state of the art studios. One studio is upstairs by the front desk and lobby, and the second is downstairs by our kids play area. 

We have a beautiful lobby for you to enjoy. No need to worry about dancers being distracted with our one way viewing windows. 

We have a state of the art Neo Shock sprung floor covered in Harlequin Marley flooring. This is an amazing floor that absorbs the shock of the dancers landings. www.harlequinfloors.com
